Thumbnail images of thumbnails. Sized at 326 px, the images are found during varied searches in Facebook Marketplace. Searches are for items that may generate the photographer to have held their item in such a way that they display their thumb. Rings and thimbles prove most popular, or the odd Kalimba.

 

The glut of images online seems to willingly grow, almost unconsciously by its users, with little consideration for the costs of an ephemeral car boot or family album surrendered to platforms such as Meta.

 

This ongoing collection of images pokes fun at what already exists on the internet. A digital hunt, tapping into the brains of amateur photographers who just wanted to sell some stuff.
